On 27 April 2023, the King Baudouin Foundation organised the 'Be Philanthropy 2023' event at Autoworld in Brussels. More than 1,100 philanthropists, policymakers, notaries, bankers, wealth advisers, managers, CSR-entrepreneurs, foundations and family offices from Belgium and abroad participated. This important event for Belgian and European philanthropy focused on trends, opportunities and challenges of philanthropy. Tanguy Kamp-Kabahizi (founder of Kaba Art Initiative & social entrepreneur), Mamadou Bobo Saw (Boost laureate & social entrepreneur & ambassador), Diederik van der Plas (data analyst and researcher on youth and their charitable giving behaviour at CBF) and Ilwad Elman (global youth activist for peace and inclusivity, co-founder of Elman Peace Center) delved into discussing what philantropist can learn from the next philantropic generation.
